The NFL playoff race proved to be a big TV draw this past weekend -- pulling ratings not seen in a decade.
The Jets' victory over Cincinnati in last Saturday's AFC Wild Card game averaged a 16.9 overnight rating on NBC, the best Wild Card Game 1 in 10 years as the Jets continued their improbable Cinderella run.
The Cowboys victory over Philadelphia later that night, also on NBC, pulled the best first-round overnight numbers (19.6 rating) since the 1999 season.
CBS' coverage of Sunday's Ravens-Patriots game, a 33-14 Baltimore victory, was up 14 percent over last year's AFC Wild Card game on CBS (Baltimore-Miami).
Fox's coverage of the Green Bay-Arizona NFC Wild Card game, a 51-45 overtime Cardinals victory, was the highest-rated NFL Wild Card game since 1999.
That game was also the highest scoring game in NFL history!!!
