Grimey Aerobics Instructor

Fitness freaks who figured they'd scored a holiday bargain by buying cheap Manhattan gym memberships on Craigslist are just starting to realize that their New Year's workout resolutions may have been trampled by a scam, authorities said yesterday.

Kedar Quashie, 21, allegedly used 11 stolen credit cards to purchase more than $80,000 worth of gift memberships to the Equinox gym in the Flatiron District during the 2008 holiday season, then resold them online at rock-bottom prices.

The first time his customers hit the gym, they learned their memberships were no good.

Quashie was nailed after some victims vented on Craigslist and then contacted each other. It turned out that he had used various aliases but just one phone number.

The buyers -- who paid from $600 to $1,000 for memberships that normally go for about $2,800 -- called the cops, who busted Quashie last Friday.

He was arraigned yesterday on charges of ID theft and grand larceny and was ordered held on $25,000 bail
