Two people were shot inside an Englewood liquor store Monday night on the South Side, police said.
Police responded at 6:40 p.m. to the shooting inside a liquor store at 1700 W. 63rd St., police News Affairs Officer Gabrielle Lesniak said. Sheba Food and Liquor is listed at the address, according to a Web directory.
Fire officials took two people from that address to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Fire Media Affairs Chief Kevin MacGregor said. The ages, genders and condition of the victims were not immediately available.
Wentworth Area detectives are investigating, but nobody is in custody as of 7 p.m.
