12 Yr Old Handcuffed For Doodling On Desk At School

A 12-year-old girl was put in metal handcuffs and taken to a police station for doodling with an erasable marker on her school desk in New York, it was revealed on Friday.

Alexa Gonzalez, a seventh grader at Junior High School 190 in Forest Hills, was even patted down by officers, MyFox National reported. She was suspended when an offending item - Wite-Out - was found in her pockets.

Alexa's mother was stunned after hearing the news and said she could not believe the nightmare her daughter went through. In a statement the Department of Education said: "The JHS 190 principal in Queens is reaching out to the parent today and has lifted the suspension. "The student is returning to her classes."

What happen to detention, call the parents but handcuffed and taken to the police station like a criminal. Really what type of example did this set? I understand wanting to prove a point but come on!! First it was cutting a little girls braids because the teacher was tired of her playing with her beads now this. What do you think about this readers?
